James Gambrell

Dr. James Gambrell is a psychologist, psychometrician, and gamer.  His research interests focus on validity and fairness issues surrounding large-scale ability and achievement tests as well as gifted education.  Currently he is a research associate at ACT where he is investigating the measurement and validation of learning progressions for both cognitive and noncognitive skills, potentially using game-like interactive assessments.   James has been exploring and learning in virtual worlds since an early age and has played everything from Zork and the Atari 2600 to EVE and Elder Scrolls Online.
